Vivakos has recently worked with a large defense contractor to eliminate costly paper-based processes. After building a powerful best-of-breed open source Intranet portal for information sharing, Vivakos has extended the value of this solution into backoffice processes to automate this customers intensive procurement functions.

The new system allows procurement officers to issue electronic requisitions, which were a paper-only process.  These requisitions flow through to the issuance of a purchase order and is tied in with the financial accounting codes of the customer.
